How do I get my server onto the server list?
Howdy!

I decided to create a Mordhau server, so I forwarded the ports, downloaded the files, and ran the server. Currently, the server shows up in the lan list on the server browser, and I am able to join it. However, other people are not able to join the server, and it does not show up on the internet list. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

I currently have these ports forwarded:
7778
15000
27000 - 27020

They are forwarded for both TCP and UDP.

What am I doing wrong?

it needs to be 7777 and 27015

I also have 7777 forwarded, and isn't 27015 covered by forwarding the port range 27000 - 27020?

you didn't mention 7777 in your last post only 7778
maybe you're behind NAT? can you forward ports in other games?

I don't think so. I tried hosting a Minecraft server at one point, but I couldn't get it working even though I forwarded the right port. How do I check to see if I am behind NAT?

then you're definitely behind a NAT, being behind NAT means you can't host any kind of server and no ports forward will ever work.
you need to consult this with your ISP.

Thank you for the help! I really appreciate your patience and explanations.

One more question though: You said that behind a NAT I wouldn't be able to port forward for any kind of server. However, (I know this sounds conflicting, but I just remembered) my father managed to host a server for Emperyion: Galactic Survival on a different computer in the same house. Is there anything that would cause port forwarding to work for one computer but not another, or do you still think this is a NAT issue?

if that is true then it might not be a NAT issue afterall. maybe you have the ports forwarded to wrong IP? or your father has enabled DMZ mode which essentially means all ports are forwarded to a specific IP and no other port forwarding will work.

It could also be a firewall issue.

I made sure to allow both the game and the server on private and public networks with the firewall.

Did you make sure you chose the correct ip address during the port forwarding (for your server)?

make sure you're allowing both MordhauServer.exe and MordhauServer-Win64-Shipping.exe in your firewall

That is the guide I followed to set up the server.

I made sure to match the name of my computer with the device in the port fowarding menu.

I added MordhauServer.exe to the list of apps allowed by the firewall.
