No point using one handed weapons?
Is there really any point to using one handed weapons since they feel like they swing just as slowly as a Zweihänder? The only real weapons to me that feel slightly faster are the daggers.

I use one and I kill a lot with it vs a big sword reason is a small sword hits faster so when he start swinging I already almost killed the person. And you can tro then to. And when you attack in a group the opportunity to hit a team mate is lower vs a big sword.

The use of a shield, but seeing that the casual community is crying like babies for a nerf there wont be any point of use a one handed weapon.

Yiip, everyone swinging two handed weapons yeaah!! ...

Nope, you can use One handed weapons relatively well, but they benefit a lot more from Footwork and smarter attacks. Try using the Buckler and Warhammer if you want to give the play style a try, that way people can't give you ♥♥♥♥ for using a shield because a buckler just lets you block quicker...I think

If you want to kill (win), no.
They are bad and shields out of blocking the frontline spam are as bad.

Seeing how everyone cry like babies you best play 2 hands set because i can smell more nerfs coming for shields. Or just go around with just one armed hand for swag.

I like to use 1 handed weapons in close corridor situations as you can manouver more easily and are not restricted in your swings. Arming sword for example does quite a lot of dmg for a 2 point weapon, which leaves you open for more diversive setups.

I mostly use the arming sword too, it is indeed good in cramped area.
But anyelsewhere 2 handed will do the job best with less hits needed.

One handed weapons are to be used with shields and secondary weapon for archers.

Absolutely. On the other side, you also save 5 points, which you can invest in bloodlust, or bandages, or...

Both have their ups and downs. Also parry angles, windup speeds etc are to be taken into consideration.

Both have their ups and downs and appropriate cost...

Two handed sword strikes can be canceled with using the parry button. That dumb mechanic completely removes the whole idea of 'small hits fast and smart, big hits slow and once'. They can stop their 'slow looking' attack with parry to deflect your attack easily. Makes it pointless to using one handed swords with shields. However, dumb bootlickers here would say 'no game is flawlessly perfect with no flaws whatsoever, everything is perfectly balanced gitgud', but in reality(in game i meant, not reality reality), two players with equal skills, if one were to use two handed and other is shield one handed, two handed would always win. Always.
Bad game design.
