Remove the lute please.
I'm sure it was a funny gag weapon and would be funny if people actually fought with it; however its become nothing more than a troll tool. People stand around with the lute watching their team lose. It adds no value, only frustrations.

Because believe it or not this game is about trying to beat the other team. I agree with OP the lute needs to be removed.

Yes but it's not like the winning team gets more gold or exp. So, does it really matter?

You get rewarded on your personal input, not on wins or losses.

The game is large enough that a couple of people messing about really wont impact the match that much

Lutes boost morale and are vital to a teams success.

Morale isn't a game mechanic, music isn't going to make me play any better.

You also get gold based on whether your team won or not.

This isn't the game for you by the sounds of it. If you remove the lute, then you're essentially asking to remove everything else that's actually fun about the game. It's a game. If you care about winning or losing why bother. Games are supposed to be fun.

In a team based mode like frontlines you are supposed to help your team win, playing the lute does not do that. The lute isn't the fun part of the game, the combat is the fun part of the game.

Where does it say that? I'd love for you to point it out. It's a game.

It's literally the basic concept of all team based game modes in every game.

And this is the exact reason I just bash them in the head until they die. Teamkilling is bad?

"Where does it say that? I'd love for you to point it out. It's a game." so we all get what we want, thats good.

So you're telling me you wouldn't be inspired to fight 10% harder if you heard this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYXH_CPhq5c

It says "frontline" it doesn't say "IF YOU PLAY YOU MUST WIN" if you're playing games to win them you're having no fun at all. You get the same reward regardless of winning or losing. The lute is in the game, so are cavalry, naked peasants and fist fights.
