The halberd does seem excessively priced, especially given some cheaper weapons do WAY more damage (the maul for instance).

The reason the Halberd is so many points is because it has no downsides,it's decently fast with it's combos and also has extremely long range and alot of poke damage,also consider the fact the Halberd is not the only 11 cost weapon in the game

Yeah, there's a total of like 3, maybe 4.

The Halberd DOES have downsides though. There are cheaper higher damage weapons and cheaper, higher speed weapons. Just because it's decently balanced between the two doesn't make it some godly weapon. There are better choices for a LOT cheaper. Consider the spear. Fast, great poke damage, AND range. Consider the maul: pretty slow, but ca take out even a fully armored knight in one hit if headshot, or just a few regular hits.

I think the Halberd is overpriced.

if you're referring to the shortspear it has almost half the range,and does significantly less damage with it's chops and pokes,Maul has almost no poke damage and very short range,while it's damage is higher but not by much swing with it's swing it's almost much slower,and the 2 handed Spear also cost 11 points and has only slightly higher range and speed but lacks the damage the halberd offers

The halberd is over priced due to its problematic damage numbers against heavy armour is inability to 1 hit tier 2 helmet wearer in head, its mildy annoying hitbox particularly with stab, occasionally the stab damage is applied after the poke ends rather than during making aiming it sometimes feel awkward seeing a halberd go through someone do no damage an as the animation finishes something dies. (this is not lag or anything)
Personally it should be around the 8-9 point mark i would argue due to the pole axe speed and better stab hit box the pole axe should be ranked higher than it.

I love pole arms and i find them all OK but none stand out compared to some of the other weapons and so point cost should reflect that.

But the range isn't that much of an advantage given that polearms do full damage no matter what range. There's no reason for a Halberd user to stay at range, or any other polearm for that matter.

Several weapons can outperform a Halberd because they are better at speed or damage. I think speed especially so, that's why rapiers and short spears are so good right now.

It just seems the Halberd is decent overall, but other weapon that are VERY good at one thing or another can outperform a Halberd overall, and are cheaper options.

If the Halberd was even just dropped 2 points so you could have some decent freakin armor with it, I think it'd be more fair

Maul has some massive drawbacks tho, its got a tiny range, its slow and it cant combo.

Halberd doesn't need a cost nerf. It's a fantastic weapon, objectively one of the best in the game. Bladed side for peasant jesters, spiked side for dandies in armour. It's the number one problem solver that isn't hampered by the need for expert footwork.

Would be a bit stupid if it onehit tier 2 head armour given how long of a reach it has.

Halberd is super easy to land headshots with because it is so long. 80 damage or instant kill.
Also instant kill on naked legs. one of the best weapons in the game.
