Need help on how to deal with dragging and feint spamming
So I've been enjoying the game quite a lot, but just like Chivalry, the classic ol feint and drag is starting to get on my nerves. Most of the time now I just die in two hits because of these fiendish moves and have a terrible time trying to counter them.

The best method I've found is usually to keep a distance and to watch my opponents weapon, but that only get's me so far, even with my own feints and drags, very rarely do I ever kill these guys, instead my head get's splattered by a maul travelling at light speed.

If anyone can lend me some advise that would be appreciated.

I've found the easiest way to really make people who feint mad is just to use a fast weapon,Dagger,Rapier,Short Spear,Messer,Bastard Sword are all fast enough to avoid being punished by feints,if someone throws a swing at you just stab for interuption of the attack,or if they feint they get punished and stabbed, there's a guy who claims he's a god who is a alpha and beta tester who hates me because i call him trash when i just poke him to death because he does like 2 or 3 moves and doesn't know how to do anything else lol ,I just disregard everything everyone throws at me with 2 handed weapons and engage with stabs to avoid being punished on first hit

I have the same problem, most the time weapon morphs seem to work to get the hit in before they can do their feint combo. Footwork can mess them up to depending on what attacks they are dragging.

Mauls and hammers seem to always go for the head so even just ducking will make the attack miss, but they'll catch on after the first time or so.

Don't know if that helps at all, going onto a duel server and just facing someone who does it all the time would be the best way to train yourself not to fall for it as much.

Feints, at least the half-assed ones used in pubs, are no big deal. You just have to get into the habit of parrying at the last second and not panic parrying as soon as possible. Experienced players will keep moving their aim in direction of attack to make their feint look like an actual attack, instead of just feinting while staring you dead in the face, so keep an eye out for that.

Drags and accels are hard to counter without good understanding of how to do them yourself. Generally if someone is pushing hard to your sides he's going for an accel. Opponents are easier to read and react to if they aren't in your face, keep distance until you have the initiative.

As a Maul user, we love to morph and will almost always go for the head. Again wait for last second, you're not exactly in a hurry to block the slow swings.

Uhhh drags not only exist in mordhau but they're crucial.

The only key difference from chivalry is they can't hit anything behind them (so no more ballerina ♥♥♥♥) and do severely reduced damage if dragged too far.

dragging is something you may have to get used to, simply because not all players do it. feinting is much easier to adapt to as you can get into a habit of blocking later, rather than earlier. feinting actually puts the enemy at the disadvantage because it takes a lot of stamina and leaves them exposed. the problem with most people is that they are used to blocking/parrying after the attack just appears, you need to get comfortable to wait for the wind up to finish and for the enemy to actually commit to the attack

dragging is in a few ways similar, it's about being patient and waiting for them to actually commit and get close to you. as others said, distance is key in gaining comfort, try using a longer weapon for a bit and going on duel servers, this way you can meet more experienced players that you can fight

that maul with lightspeed is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke (dying on one hit with t3 helmet) and im almost deleting this game because of it.

If you know the player likes to feint a lot you could try to counter with a morph so they block early. A super easy one is a thrust into an overhead with MM up MM down half a second later. You can also be patient with your parry, panicking and spamming a parry immediately after seeing an attack starting is a bad habit and can get you killed when fighting against slow weapons.

There is no dragging in Mordhau but their is quick attack and strong attack which you might consider to look like dragging but it is not, if you hold mouse 1 you will get a strong more slower attack but if you just click mouse 1 for a quick slash you get a normal not "dragging look" attack. This is not the same way where in chivalry you have to flip your mouse all aroud to drag.
Dragging is a thing in mordhau, its just if you drag to far your attack does severly reduced damage.
