Parry leaves you unable to do anything for a few seconds : you're open for punishment.
If you chamber instead of parrying, the enemy cannot feint or else he takes a hit from your chamber.
♥♥♥♥ Dude can you explain me how life works? Cause I have no idea about anything!
ty will try to parry less and go for the chamber
I got the feeling that stabbing is always an answer in this game...
It's not about realism, it's about the gameplay. I don't understand why everyone complains "It's not realistic!" when it's not a simulator or anything like that.
Wait for a grunting sound before you go to parry, don't get into a motion of parry, attack, parry, attack. Look for a way to get around your opponent's defenses.
Absolutely don't do this. Chambering is not a counter to feints. Chambering is a one way ticket to depleting all your stamina and it definitely won't counter a feint. The second attack from a feinter will hit you before your chamber attack hits the feinter most of the time.
The counter to feinters is, as most point out, to avoid panic blocking. It's hard and that's just the way it is.
Eh nope, you see him doing the stab animation you stab back to chamber him.
If it was a feint he looses.
If it was an attack, you chamber and either try to hit him or morph it into a swing/kick.
If it was a morph you loose, the swing of the morph comes out faster if you arent in hugging distance with a shortsword or so.
All right, you got me there. I was grouping morphs with feints and of course there is a huge difference between the two. But I'd argue that it's all the same in the end, since you have no way of knowing if your opponent will feint or morph his attack. If you try to chamber, it's a gamble and it won't pay off most of the time because morphing is more common and your opponent can always end up blocking your chamber. You'll lose - if not because you are hit then because of the stamina you wasted.
EDIT: I can maybe see the idea behind chambering a morphed attack. That's the only time I could see chambers being useful. If only because people are often not expecting it.. Yet. So if you encounter an excessive feinter, do a chamber as soon as he does a morphed attack - chances are he will feint his morph and get hit.
Just stick em with the pointy end!
