Creating local match with friends and other group questions

Hi everybody!

I have a question that myself and friend tried to create: a duel match on the internet.

I invited him in the lobby party, but when I created a local match, I joined the match he didn't. Also, if I was to search a MM match, he didn't join, he was still in the Main Menu. How do we play together?

Fun fact: several day ago I could join another friend's game on official server.

Maybe ranks don't compare between us? (He is lvl3, I'm lvl 19)

Hello!
You can't play private games with friends (unless of course you own a server).
You can only play online. If you want to play duels or practice you can join a duelyard and just play together without dueling anyone else.
He should be able to join you in an online match. Level difference has no effect.

Thank you for your answer! But where can I find this duelyard exactly?
Online mean official servers in server browser?

Look for deathmatch servers labeled with titles with like "Duels\ 1v1\ only" You do the flourish emote to initiate a duel. You will be kicked if you randomly kill people without doing that.

Yes, I found one. And friend joined to me. But why do we play together directly if we are in the same team in lobby? That's ridicoulus for us. Maybe another update will heal this problem.
