In "morden", the /d/ is not in a syllable coda at the end of a compound, or to top it off, followed by an unvoiced sound. Devoicing in such an environment is standard in German – see Brand /bʁant/, Brände /'bʁɛndə/, Brandanschlag /'bʁantʔanˌʃla:k/.

Just like the lad above said, its a soft d if followed by other letters and a hard d, pronounced as t if it's at the end of a sentences. German likes to be complicated like that xD
