Also could be latency issues, but I dunno.
its simply lag. i never swung or shot through so many people without a hit registering or not hitting them but getting the kill.
I notice this a lot too. I'll accel an attack and people seem to easily block it. They accel and I pretty much get hit in what looks like windup lmao. I have 180-200ms reaction time ( changes depending on how much sleep I get) so I don't think I'm retardedly slow.
This is very subjective on what weapon they are using and what weapon you are using, for instance a Longsword and Greatsword look similar however one is faster then the other, you can also accelerate attacks by moving into the enemy. In real life terms imagine swinging your hips towards the enemy to gain speed. This can also work the opposite as if you starts swinging, face away from an opponent and time your end of the swing to turn back you can make the swing longed by a few hundred miliseconds making people misstime parries
Well i think youre wrong here. They even teach it to you in the Tutorial how to do accels and drags.
They DO NOT teach accels in the tutorial.
I have ran through the sword elements of it four times and have not once seen or heard accels or drags ever mentioned.
If they were it was insanely brief.
Absolute pro macroist game.
Gonna try it again this evening. But i wonder if it didnt show up there how did I learn it? Im by no means a genius or top tier, etc. so why do ppl struggle.
If you do a right to left swing and want to accel just move your screen so far to the left that the char model of your opponent is barely visible at the right side of your screen. For a drag just do the opposite and look to the right once the swing starts.
Then try a match without a shield.
It's a night and day difference when you don't have to worry about people dragging and acceling or having people with seizures feint spam.
I can accel a cleaver and somehow get hit with a battle axe or messer even though I started my attack first and they didn't have a riposite.
People understand how to accel. The problem is when you start an LMB, accel it and somehow the guy who you didn't see visually start an attack until after you somehow beats you with an LMB.
