Devs, don't pander to SJW media pressure and reddit snowflakes

I do not own the game, to be fair, but have read a few articles about it recently /the game being allegedly so much toxic and players dropping because of that or magazines underhandedly suggesting that the devs of this game are some kind of white supremacists/.. let's ignore the fact there is no evidence to support such claims but whatever.

I tend to play a lot of MP games, some of them being more competitive and serioous, some way less, and you encounter rampant racists, racism, homophobic, antisemitic insults, slurs, comments in all of them. It is in human nature. Your game is nothing special when comes to this kind of behaviour.

Most of those chat comments are written by kids who think they made them look cool, interesting etc. They just seek attention and it makes them feel better than being ignored.

I can tell you from my own experience that LoL, CS, Dota or SW Battlefronts from EA and plenty of other games are as much toxic or even more, there is a ♥♥♥♥♥torm running in the chat during every Battlefront map, you frag players, seconds later you get called "disney N word c****, ♥♥♥" etc.

But there are big publishers behind these games and those so called "gaming journalist" do not criticise them much. Why? Because the publishers reward them with free review copies, purchase game related ads on their web sites, invite them to gaming events, conferences and are sponsoring events run by those magazines. You don't bite the hand which feeds you.

From time to time, those frustrated so called "gaming journalists" pick up an easy target, usually an indie developer to start a witchhunt. In the past, it was Kingdom Come Deliverance because there weren't enough people of colour in the game and they missed LGBT representation as well. Kingdom Come Deliverance devs got called racists, homophobic etc. SJWs reviewers went that far, they REFUSED TO REVIEW THE GAME.


It is a typical tactic from SJWs, using homophobic or any -phobic card in general, spreading lies about the games, devs they don't like for whatever reason. They are fully aware that indie developers are very limited when comes to resources and ways how to keep a good public image and they fully exploit that.. So they just purposelly pressure indie devs, in hope their lies will spread on the internet and create a snowball effect and expect you to give up and eventually pander to their ideas.

It is YOUR GAME so don't let the people who created nothing meaningful in their lives to ruin it for you and keep developing the game the way you think it is the best. So far you have been doing great.

At the end of the day, Mordhau's success doesn't rely on either side of this topic. It lies in content. If they add more customization options for those who want more variety, the better for Mordhaus continued playerbase.
