Make ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bear trap easier to disarm
Like by holding E or something. Sometimes landing a hit on a plate takes me 5-6 attempts. This shouldn't be a thing, you can poke it slowly and carefully in reallity but in mordhau it is not an option so there must be some substitute mechanic.

I actually agree- or at least make the hitbox bigger for attacking it, so if I see one, I can just stab at it, and it pops, without me having to be so precise that I have to stop and carefully try to hit the plate.

If you only have a one handed weapon, it's pretty hard to hit them, even if you crouch.

Same with too long weapons like halberd, you just cling onto the ground or obstacles. The fact beartraps are usually located in most curious places dosn't help either.

I use nothing but the bastard sword. I usually avoid traps. But have no difficulty dealing with them.

Get closer and stab... Crouch. Get close. Stab. Simple.

We get it, you gud. But current disarming mechanic is awkward as hell and thats my point.

Just crouch walk over it.

Pressing E for 3-4 secs to disarm is actually more awkward and time consuming than hitting the thing. Imo

I usually just avoid them and watch an oblivious team mate walk over it and die.. lmao.

Yeah I think it should also be made easier. Currently I feel like I have to do overhead swings with a somewhat long weapon to disarm them. Maybe even make it so crouching over it auto disarms them. It would still be a little time consuming to do this as if you had disarmed it with a weapon anyway.

Just crouching over it is an issue because I don't want a team mate to run over it, or it can usually be in a spot where if I go over it I can be attacked/pushed back into it, or if I need to sprint past it to get away later with it still being active.

Also I think they shouldn't be allowed to be placed inside the river at Camp.

It's not that hard. I can disarm them with a cleaver with a stab just fine. If you don't want to do that, pick up an arming sword, axe, dagger, or what have you and just throw it at the trap. It'll disarm it. You can even disarm traps with javelins thrown from a good 15 meters away.

It's a bug / exploit..

Pretty awkward to change/implement the mechanic just because someone can't hit straight.
KingDaddy Jun 13, 2019 @ 4:40am
Yeah if you aren't hitting it the first time it's because you can't aim. I generally recommend, stabbing them, you just have to know how to use the animations to aim instead of thinking that it's always going where the crosshair is because it isn't.
Pät Mc Garry Jun 13, 2019 @ 4:45am
Just dont hit it and crouch.

Set your FOV to default, and it will fix your issue. the fish eye makes it really hard to deactivate, it became much easier when i reverted.
