Muskets?
They might not be fitting for the time period but still... they would take like a minute to reload.

Matchlocks and arquebuses would fit the time period, but I doubt the devs will add them. Personally I would love to see a handheld firearm added.

Arrows travel relatively slow and can be blocked and dodged which makes bows less insane. I don't think a musket would really make the game better in any way since, you know, they're guns. Guns are pretty powerful.

It takes forever to properly load a musket or similar ancient muzzle loading firearm. In my opinion it would be pretty balanced.

That would just be annoying.

It's annoying enough as it is with all the throwing cuckery and now you wanna add in firearms?

Go play battlefield or Counter Strike or something.

Muskets do not take 1 minute or even near that to reload. You can usually get 3-4 shots per minute with a musket.

I would love muskets...maybe have them do the same damage as a javelin... And nerf the javelin damage across the board...

The mortar is already in, so the chances of a hand held firearm like a handcannon or matchlock being implemented isn't too absurd.

Good because they should not be added to this game and as one user suggested they most certainly should do the same damage as a javelin, that's just a hard pass from me.

There's already enough ranged stuff as it is so I see no reason in adding more ranged cuckery

I agree, i'd rather have gameplay improvements rather than ranged weapons I probably won't use.

Well u see, it would do the same damage as a javelin, and cost 11 points... except it would take 8 seconds to reload which should eaither slow down the player by 75 present... Or have the player not move for 8 seconds... It would a great addition and quite honestly alot more useful and balance than the javelin...
But hey, who am I to suggest a good, balanced weapon to devs who fail to have at least mediocre weapon balance...

Musket is renaissance weapon but Hand Cannon is medieval ;) I'd like to have the latter instead

No it would make the gameplay horrible.

Javelins absolutely weren't needed there was already a wide range of throwables and ranged weapons.

There's the bow, crossbow, throwing axe, the ability to throw rapier and i think normal axe and the ability to throw bastard sword (I think it was) and short spear (I think) which leaves the game with like 7 throwables excluding javelin.

So no, it would not be a good addition and the jav wasn't even a good addition to the game either.
