Not detecting lower body trackers (SteamVR input) - please help!
I’m trying to get B&S to detect my lower body trackers, without success.

My hardware: Quest 2 linked via virtual desktop to a PC with i5-13600K / RTX 3080 (runs B&S great!), and a set of SlimeVR lower body trackers

I’ve been through all the SlimeVR guides and have the trackers set up and working well - I can see the stick figure in the SlimeVR app moving as I do. I also know the inputs are making it from SlimeVR into SteamVR because SteamVR shows the trackers as connected and working, and also when I’m in SteamVR home and move my legs, the trackers show up in my VR view and move accordingly.

But that’s as far as the trackers’ input seems to go. B&S refuses to recognize them - when I select my character and go “setup trackers” it says no trackers are detected.

I know SlimeVR needs SteamVR to work so have done the following:
1. Ensured B&S is set to open in SteamVR mode not Oculus mode
2. Ensured SteamVR is the default OpenXR runtime
3. Checked Steam Input is enabled in Steam -> B&S properties -> controller
4. Ensured SlimeVR is enabled as an add-on in SteamVR
5. Reinstalled B&S (which is the steam version)

I’ve also tried connecting via Air Link in lieu of virtual desktop and from there going into SteamVR, but all has been to no avail. I feel like I’m missing something basic or even obvious here, but after digging through all the settings menus I can’t find it.

Has anyone had anything similar, or know where I might start looking next?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to kick some NPCs to the moon, it's a worthy goal!

I haven't tried slime, but I know with vive trackers, I have to launch the game from steamVR and not Virtual desktop or it won't see them (quest3).

It appears SlimeVR trackers aren't supported by unity itself :(

As a temp solution you can use the steam console to download version 1.4 where all trackers including slime work
I know it's a bit late reply, I bought 3 HTC VIVE Ultimate Trackers, I've read that it's not yet supported (I guess it's like your case with SlimeVR), but I've found out that you can go to steam, go the game properties, Betas, and select steamvrbug_test "Beta Participation". It should update the game (about 12GB), and you might be able to use your trackers.

Hope this helps!
