Is the golem suppose to be so insanely hard at the 6th crystal? (Crystal Hunt)
I'm unable to beat the golem that would give me the 6th crystal it just one taps me with its swing attacks it never did that before (I have decent armour too) and the large fireballs it fires have a stupendously broken blast radius and do a stupendous amount of damage (half health even if u are far away from them). I love dark souls and all but this is literally harder than dark souls at this point because the blast radius of the fireball is unavoidable unless you're literally at the other side of the arena, and the insta kill swing attacks are way too punishing, I can't get in to smash the power crystals because every time I'm making my retreat I get instantly one tapped by his back end swing attack, and before on crystal 5 or crystal 4 I could just barely survive his swing attacks with like 10hp at least giving me a chance to heal and try again. And no his swing attack is seemingly too random to dodge or jump out of the way of and I'm not being greedy, I'm only going into to smash 1 or 2 crystals then run back.

(stats so far are 2 crystals gravity 1 body 1 fire 1 lightening 1 telekinesis and game damage stats are set to default.) I am loving the game and love reading all the lore snippets but I simply cannot progress beyond this point it's too difficult and I was a seasoned player before 1.0 back in u10 u11 and u12. So I can't be THAT bad. And considering I did every other golem with a fun amount of challenge.

I'm just wondering if this is a technical issue with the game AKA a bug or if this specific golem is MEANT to be this hard. If so can someone please tell me a way to idk enable cheats temporarily just so I can beat this golem and go back to the game normally? I really love 1.0 so far and have been playing non-stop for days now it's too good honestly.

Thanks again if anyone bothers to give me assistance or if this is noted as a bug or if my save is somehow broken or something.

Hello, are you having problems with the Golem? Ok I can try to help you! What you need is an Axe, 2 quivers of arrows with 24 or 32 arrows and a Bow. Take the Axe on your shoulder on the left or right and the bow on the other side. Quiver of arrows on the left and right side down, I know you can't use the other quiver but that's just your backup. And now! First try to destroy the active crystals on the Golem, you can climb on him and use your axe, you can pick your axe on the shoulder better than on the side, and after you have destroyed a crystal? jump down! it is not high enough to take damage. But the golem launches a spell like lightning or fire on itself. Now take your Bow and Shoot the first White Crystal down, tray to stay near the Golem, if the Golem go down? Run to the Golem and destroy the Crystal. And again Bow, White Crystal and Run to Golem! For now i have 11 Crystals, i think this method works good ;) Take 3 Heal-Potions or 4 with you, and also 5 or 6 Appels. Train your climbing and archery and the golem will no longer be a problem. Take the Axe in your Hand, only near the crystal. Hold on tight and climb onto the golem with both hands so it can't throw you off so quickly. LOL you can run also betwen his Legs!!!

Last tip! Don't use the knight's armor for this fight, you are too slow! Use leather armor. (Movement is Higher)

I am happy someone actually responded however I've already completed 5 other golems this one just seems to do an unfair amount of damage compared to the others, the part that annoys me is if I make one small mistake I get insta killed by his swing attack and then have to redo the ENTIRE ruins. And as much as I'd love to try a ranged build, I really can't the bow build really doesn't work for me in the slightest I've tried it before and never hit targets, armour wise I am using mostly leather armour only knight piece I have is a helmet and nothing else everything else is leather and I do still get decent speed as a result.

It doesn't help that the joystick on my right controller (I have set for movement) doesn't work properly (I just ordered a new right controller today, but it probably wont be here for a few days) so sometimes running doesn't register for me and sometimes the blade boost jump doesn't work either. They are simply too unreliable to totally rely on. With my damaged controller.

At this point I'm just curious if I can just temporarily enable infinite health for this boss it's the last one before I guess the gate on the island opens. As I didn't enable cheats when making the save so I am curious if you can forcefully enable them after the fact.

In the ingame window on your monitor, hit F5 and enable invincibility with your mouse. Simple as that. You can disable it afterwards at any time.

Will try, thank you.

I do think that the insta kill swings are unintended, since they seem to deal damage differently than the actual melee attacks (you can test by changing the damage received; his normal melee does not scale with damage multipliers while his insta kill swings do).
The meteor spam can be survived with health potion spam or not going too far, since the angle he can aim at is limited, but I do agree that the damage and AoE is way too high.

honestly I think spamming Flykick does the trick no matter what armor you use.

Update: I managed to beat the boss thanks to temporarily enabling invincibility.
And by extension the end of the game occurred.... I'm kind of sad it ended tbh, kinda wish it went on longer, but I suppose we can't have everything, the ending was beautiful, if you haven't completed it yet you should, that ending is f*****g beautiful.

Oh, defective Controller ? That's a shame. I have the same problem as you, my HTC controllers are worn out, I can move fine with touch but not click. I changed my movement from click to touch and now I can't cast spells with both hands, like fireball. But the game make F****** fun, short game but awesome.

I ordered a new one, but I've stopped playing now cuz I hit the end and have no more motivation to play so kind of a waste, but hey I got a new one for whenever/if ever I find another VR game.

If you do the other ending you can just keep gathering crystals until you have ultimate power. I went with Gravity as my primary (maxed it out first) and then grabbed one each of the other crystals, so I could complete the second ending, and I am continuing to have a lot of fun in the epilogue section.

Wait.... there's another ending?

I'm assuming you can get the other ending after becoming a master sorcerer ? Or am I wrong?
Certitude Jun 24, 2024 @ 3:25pm
I found reading materials to suggest so and looked here if others had found them also. I then pursued this new course of events and did certain things before grabbing the sword for the normal ending and wasn't disappointed. It's too bad the texts aren't a guaranteed spawn, but were something I stumbled on only due to dying to a golem and having to replay a level. Totally worth it, just for that, but unfortunate that so many seem to not find that lore before they go sacrifice themselves do what they think they're supposed to do.

As for being able to do the second ending instead, I have no idea. Can you go back to the center of the storm and muck around or is the way there gone?
