Game Runs Slower Inside Dalgarian Ruins
Everything seems to run great everywhere else, but it seems like the moment I get inside the ruins (past the magic doors) it's like the game is in slow motion. All my swings are slower, my movement speed is slower, even the enemies are slower. Not too much, maybe around 80% normal speed. I have an RTX 3080Ti GPU, Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, 32GB RAM, and they don't seem to work hard according to MSI Afterburner, pretty much under 50% usage on all 3. I use Valve Index at 120Hz as well. I run max graphics, physics, dead bodies/items, but turning down the bodies/items doesn't seem to affect it. Again, my CPU, GPU, and RAM are neither not working hard nor running hot. Is anyone else dealing with this, or know how to remedy it while still keeping quality? Maybe it's an optimization thing or something?

computer hardware does not dictate how VR Headset Hardware can handle things, the Dalgarian ruins are more intensive since the areas are a lot bigger and have more effects, I know I lag a bit when im near the Gravity Elevators

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about?
Your PCs hardware 100% matters because the computer is running the game, not the headset. IF you tried playing BAS on a laptop from 2015, youd have a rough time, but if you played on a mid/high end pc now, youd be fine.

We're always working on performance things, and the dalgarian was a BIG issue for us during dev times, ive not noticed like.. horrid frames on a similar pc (3090, 3900x, 32gb ram)

- make sure youre physics are set to low (it could help)

- Make sure SteamVR isnt maxxing resolution to 500%

- Make sure your headset isnt set to 120hz

- turn MSAA down or off, its not really.. anything special

I have much worse hardware so maybe this is not applicable but the solution which mitigated this problem for me (although not fixing frame issues altogether) was disabling ASW in the oculus debug tool.
