Game crashing on loading screens on 1.0

I'm having problems with the game after updating it to the latest release.
(I have also deleted mods and my old saves).

The game will sometimes crash on the first loading screen at 66%, when it says "loading level" (Steam VR has sometimes crashed when the game has crashed). I have gotten to the main menu by putting my VR headset on the ground so that it's not moving at all.

When I am able to load into the main menu, I can create a new character and start a new game. However in the following loading screen my game once again crashes on the "loading level" part at 66%. Once this happens, the screen freezes and sometimes I get an error message (this also crashes Steam VR).

Things I have done to try and fix this:

-Lowered my settings etc. in VR
-Deleted old mods and saves
-looked trough the playerlogs at BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets/logs/player but the latest lines of text just mention loading the home level
-checked that my GPU and CPU don't have abnormally big spikes in powerusage
-looked through and done all of the troubleshooting solutions by Baron which I found on reddit
-Clean installed the game (and manually deleting saves)

Any way to fix this

UPDATE: I had old Nvidia GPU drivers while playing with a new AMD GPU. After uninstalling the old drivers, the game opened and ran without any problems.
