Can't leave outpost

I just started playing and I'm on the first Level 2 Outpost. I went through the entire map, killed everyone and took everything of value.

However, the only boat I can find, which is at the beginning of the map, won't take me back home. I've tried bringing an Oar to the boat but I just cannot leave the Island.

Anybody have help with this bug or am I just at the wrong boat?

Youve gone the wrong way, you have to find 2 exit gates, and go through those,quite hard to miss

i started to realise too lmao. it was just a massive skill issue
