Can't move head in game or controllers

So for some reason whenever I load the game it just gives me basic forward view however I can't turn my head or move my controllers in game I've done everything suggested I could fine and still have no luck. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm the same situation, tho if I open the Steam popup, it tracks back the headset and the controller, but teleport me somewhere lost in the "sky".

I had the same problem when the house loaded before U10, but opening SteamVR used to fix the thing. Is it the first time you get the issue??

Exactly how it was working for me too, before when it happened I just opened SteamVR but well as you said now it just puts you in a far off place in the skybox. It's been like this for a few months only now in U10 is it really an issue.

The same thing is happening to me, I got rid of all my mods and save files, and still no luck.

So far the only found fix is to press F4 and Space twice to change your views every time you load into a new level. Tedious, but it's the only thing that works until the devs [maybe] fix this bug, which has been around for over a year since U9.

I've had this problem, but I solved it by deleting everything, uninstalling the game, and re-downloading. This is the only game that I've ever had this problem with.

Hey guys, the solution is this:

Press the VR menu button to open and then close the VR menu (such as the SteamVR menu)

If that didn't work, an alternate solution is press the space bar two times on the keyboard.

This is actually not a U10 specific thing; it is a weird old bug that has haunted for a long time and has no reproducible origins. I get it myself randomly, but because it doesn't show in the log or have any ways to reproduce, it is unknown what is causing it or how to fix it. It's super random and sometimes it just simply goes away on its own... Anecdotally, I get it more often when I am using mods, but I have no clue the cause really. I have also had it in other VR games, so maybe it's Unity related? It's the worst!

Hey! Great to get some developer input and yeah this has been a bug for some time however if you open and close VR menu now what will happen is you'll be teleported somewhere in the skybox when in the character selection area, the way I've found to fix this is to open and close menu once then Space + F4(x2) I appreciate your comment on this and I hope ya'll can find what's causing it with little trouble! (Forgot to mention but this is a bug that always happens to me mods or no mods.)

i do belive the problem can be caused by steam vr using unity, i use WMR and it happens all the time for me, and since it happens on other systems, i think that there should be a link between both of them, but the problem might not come from the game and that would be why you don't get an error message in the logs so maybe search on this side of things, like steamvr or unity itself. because you may not be looking at the right thing for this error.

Awesome to hear, that it's already being looked into, great update so far!
And like others said, that pressing home button used to be a good solution, but in U10 in the character selection screen, that causes you to teleport into the sky, making it impossible to go any further and in the home it causes the player character to freeze etc.

Double spacebar still works, but it's pretty tedious having to do that everytime you load another level.
