You could try reset your options to default (removing mods is a great idea too until you solve this) and then you will know if it is the game or something that needs to be tweaked in your headset setup (like floor height as you said). Here is how to reset your options - https://steamcommunity.com/app/629730/discussions/2/2450469119947281759/

As well as floor height, have you tried doing a quick VR room setup again? Maybe your trackers got bumped and it messed something up.

I have never even tried to install mods, so that cant be the issue, i did what the thread you linked said, i deleted the folder, reinstalled the game, and ive tried recalibrating the floor level through the quest itself and through steam vr to no avail?

Really weird! It is def a floor height calibration issue, but I wonder what is the root cause. I'm really not sure but with a fresh install and no mods you can at least confirm your game files are good, so the issue must be hidden somewhere else, but where.... Good idea to also calibrate SteamVR and not just Oculus.

Are you playing the Rift version of the game with a Quest on Steam? Or are you playing a Steam version of the game wit ha Quest on Steam. Because if you are playing the Rift version, maybe you also need to calibrate floor for Oculus software as well as the Quest itself.

Could you also maybe share a video or screenshot of yourself in the game mirror so we can see what it looks like? Normally your character should have a bend in his knees, even when you are calibrated correctly, though what you are describing sounds the opposite, because you said he is on his tippy toes.

Have you also tried calibrating a bit different? For example, it sounds like your character keeps being calibrated for taller than you are, so he is on his tippy toes, like he is being stretched upwards. Well depending on how much offset it is, you could try calibrate taller than you actually are. So for example, you should stand on your tippy toes and stand tall in real life, then calibrate. Then in real life when you drop back to your normal height, your character will drop down a little, and that may be the difference between him being on his tippy toes and normal flat footed. At least that would be a workaround for now while you continue to investigate...

im playing a steam version on the quest with steam, its just that it worked before with no knee bend and i didnt tippy toe so it confused me but thank you, the knees being alittle bent is alot better then the weird bent tippy toes lol. i will try to cailbrate the steam vr height again but the height works with all other games which is weird. here is a link to the screenshot of what both of the feet look like when i try to calibrate the height to my real height: https://imgur.com/a/DjdHu9F . thank you so much for responding and for your detailed help!

Oh yeah that is so weird!!! It is totally like whatever you calibrate, it is off by like 3 inches vertically... so strange, it's totally like some calibration menu is off but I have no clue where it is that is causing your issue. :steamdeadpan:

Glad the workaround works for the now though. But yeah, even at perfect calibration you will see your character has a little bend in the knee. This is deliberate to accommodate for people who calibrate, but then in game stretch up tall, so the knee bend gives a little extra safety room for this - without the knee bend if someone stretched tall the character would float, lol.
