Can't walk forward
I'm on index

I'm having trouble with the controls. I can move using the joystick when pushing it to the sides or back, but as soon as i push it forward it seems nearly unresponsive. I might reeeaally slowly kind of glide forward, but I am basically standing still. This isn't a hardware problem as it has worked briefly at times, but only for like 5 seconds. Tried calibrating height and recreating characters multiple times. tried turning on the controllers before opening the game. It seems I've done it all. What do I do?

Thanks for the respond. Although I said it wasn't a hardware issue I have later realised I was mistaken. It was the joystick on my controllers that had a problem. I tested the controllers in steamVR and it didn't react when I pushed my joystick forward. I then decided to try another pair of controllers (Don't ask why i have two pairs of index controllers) and it worked perfectly.
I had the assumption that it wasn't a hardware issue because it seemed like it wasn't that big of a problem in other games, and it had at times worked in BaS. I did hit my controller into the wall while playing BaS so that might've been it. thank you for the feedback anyways, it will probably help others in need.

That's weird.. the controller is working in other games, or did you by any chance try change the controls with a new controller profile in steamvr? Or could it be another program interfering like NALO, etc?

Otherwise, could the issue be mod related? You could try flush out your config file by doing this - https://steamcommunity.com/app/629730/discussions/2/2450469119947281759/

And then a last thing to try when all else fails is this reinstall (dont skip any steps in this guide) https://steamcommunity.com/app/629730/discussions/2/4366772972631187775/
