Oculus Rift S- Constantly Losing VR Display + Orange Dot

Just got this headset for Christmas, and this is the only video game that is giving me an issue. The furthest I've gotten in this game is I've reached the book where you can select your wave, but my game will suddenly lose its display on my VR headset. This occurs sometimes at the very beginning on the character screen. I still see the display on my monitor, but I lose all motion detection on the headset, along with the controllers, and I have to restart my computer to get the display to come back because it causes SteamVR to encounter a critical error. Even when starting SteamVR again and playing a different game after this problem occurs, I will still have the orange dot on my headset until I restart my computer.

This game looks really cool, but I currently can't play it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
16 GB of RAM

Try starting B&S in Oculus mode. To do that, start B&S by selecting it in Steam Library and pressing the "play" button. This will open a popup window which will allow you to select between SteamVR mode and Oculus mode.

Not entirely sure but I suspect Rift headsets might not be entirely compatible with SteamVR. At any rate, Oculus-specific executable of B&S seems to work better with Oculus headsets.

how do you get the head set to work with this game? We try to play with oculus quest head set and it says that the head set is not compatible. thats only reason we bought the game.

Might well be that Oculus quest, not being able to recruit a big computer's resources but just its onboard computer, can not work B&S.
But I don't know for sure.

There is no version of B&S for Oculus Quest standalone play. You have to connect your Quest to a gaming PC and use it in tethered mode to play B&S on Steam.

hello i also got the same headset for christmas and i have researched a little bit and it is because the oculus app has a more stable connection and in some games steam vr doesent support oculus roft s hardware so i would preffer to start it in oculus mode just for the better connection and gameplay
