Black screen upon opening game

Every single time I try playing the game, all I get is a black screen in my lenses. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting the B&S folder in the appdata\locallow\warpfrog folder. I would really appreciate some insight on what's going wrong with my game. I'm on the Oculus Rift original. It's not an error with the headset, or at least I hope not, since I can run other steam and oculus games on the headset no problem.

Hmm I''m not sure if this is your problem, but did you try remove any mods you have and then delete the entire folder at Documents/mygames/BladeandSorcery? Do you hear sound with no visuals?

i have the same issue i know the game is running because in my laptop screen i can see my vr tracking and the game itself running fine just not in the headset

This is still happening a year later??? I bought the game a few months ago and i enjoyed it for the first month. I wanted to install mods so i did and i decided to download more mods and one of them corrupted my game, same black screen problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times including permanently deleting folders and files and it doesn't help. I hear in game audio and see my tracking on my monitor but all i see 0n my vr is black. why the hell hasn't this discussion been solved yet? It's the only thread i found with the same issue.

Hey Jackson, OPs issue was likely caused by a corrupted save and the solution would be the one in the first comment. If your issue was caused by mods then the solution would be the same - remove any mods you have and then delete the entire folder at Documents/mygames/BladeandSorcery.

If this doesn't fix your issue then it is likely caused by the XR plugin that was released in 9.2 and has been an issue for the past week or two. But a 9.3 beta with fix is already out now. You can read about it here https://steamcommunity.com/app/629730/discussions/2/3079873787839737833/
