Camera constantly jump out of the character? HELP!
just like the soul skip out of the body, but looking on the computer screen everything is normal, the only way to make it back is push pause and return again, or just keep moving, it is really weird that I think this description is very poor to describe it, and I tried to solve this by my self, I deleted the game and download again, no mods, back to U6,delete the steamVR and download again, use wire connecting to my VR or wireless, it's not working, My hardware are fine. i7 7700k, GTX1080ti, SSD, 48G, so seems like it's not hardware problem, when I start game the use of CPU and GPU won't be higher than 80% as well as other hardware, I also play Palov VR and few other game, this stituation never happened, please HELP

Hey guys, this topic is super old and was marked as solved by the author (though it actually wasnt solved it seems) so it is not easy to keep track of new issues when posted here. I also don't think everyone is talking about the same issue, as OP didn't actually describe the issue in detail but a few people still said they had the same problem. But what problem are we talking about exactly? :cozydarkseer:

OP might be describing an issue that occurs when sometimes you load the game your view is locked facing forward, and you can move up down left right but not turn your head. It can be fixed by pressing the pause button (steam menu button) on and off again, which is why I think he might have been referring to this issue. But annoyingly it will occur again for each load, so you gotta press pause on and off again. I believe it is a Unity issue though I'm not positive the cause, but it has always occurred for me with mods installed, and removing my mods fixes it.

So can anyone who is in this thread try this - remove all your mods (if you have any) and then go and delete the entire folder located at Documents/mygames/BladeAndSorcery. (this is not the same as your install directory). Then launch the game and see if it fixes your issue.

If this isn't your issue or the above didn't fix it, can you make a new help thread and explain exactly what the problem is you are experiencing with as much detail describing it as possible. If I don't know the answer to it, I will try get more help from the developer of the game himself (I'm the community manager). I'll lock this thread for now though so it doesn't keep getting necrod.

My foot, your face made a thread here https://steamcommunity.com/app/629730/discussions/2/2952629277995943389/ with the fix for him being to update his headset firmware.

btw when your 'soul jumped out', everything is pause in the game, the animation and time, and you can see your self standing there, seems like it's a problem that only I have?:steamfacepalm:

What you described is similar to what happens when headset is taken off(B&S puts the game into pause mode in this case). This could be caused by your headset presence sensor occasionally losing the track of your head, which triggers pause in B&S. Try cleaning it up and make sure nothing is blocking it(i.e. custom VR face pad etc).

I've also seen at least one case of this happening to other player for no obvious reason. He reported no workaround back then so I'm not sure if he solved this at all...

As far as I know, pause on helmet off cannot be changed. BTW, can you check B&S log for errors? Log file is located in c:\Users\ <your username> \AppData\LocalLow\WarpFrog\BladeAndSorcery\Player.log

hmmm, I've found it, there's lots of lines in there, what should I look for...
I'll copy few line I've seeing the most:

(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 35)
Reset UMA texture to fix Unity bug when headset is off

(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 35)
Unable to find Nature/Tree Creator Albedo Rendertex shader

(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Modules/Terrain/VR/TreeAlbedoNormalRenderer.cpp Line: 100)
Unable to find Nature/Tree Creator Normal Rendertex shader

(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Modules/Terrain/VR/TreeAlbedoNormalRenderer.cpp Line: 109)
Unable to find shaders used for the terrain engine. Please include Nature/Terrain/CameraFacingBillboardTree shader in Graphics settings.

I believe 70% of the log is just this few error repeating, Is there anything looks like a problem...xD

These ones are harmless, nothing to worry about. You can search log for "error" and "exception" keywords to see if any critical issues have occurred.

No exception, but there are two errors:

ERROR: Shader Shader is not supported on this GPU (none of subshaders/fallbacks are suitable)WARNING: Shader Unsupported: 'Hidden/Nature/Terrain/Utilities' - Setting to default shader.

Curl error 7: Failed to connect to cdp.cloud.unity3d.com port 443: Timed out
Unable to find Nature/Tree Creator Albedo Rendertex shader

hmmmm, Maybe because the pause action is a default function in the program so it didn't record what triggered the pause, so it's not in the log? which means it is very hard to track down the reason....right?:steamfacepalm:

Neither of these are critical. And, anyway, unrelated to the issue at hand.

Yeah, pretty much. I was hoping to see if there's something in the log that will help identify the cause. But it seems that whatever is happening, is not due to a severe fault but rather is still within "normal" behaviour. It doesn't mean that was supposed to happen but it means there's no clear fault so we can only guess what exactly is happening.

I will see if I can get the Community Manager's attention to this issue, maybe he will be able to pass the word down to KospY...

thank you very much sir, btw I am using VIVE pro eye and I downloaded the VIVEPORT, is there any possibility that VIVEPORT and SteamVR are having conflict...xD

Not that I'm aware of but if you can try running B&S without Viveport, it would not hurt to check if that will make any difference.

Hey, I had some new clue, I found out that the movement to triggered this 'pause' is when you look below the horizontal line of your headset, as long as you look up, it never happens, is there some settings maybe I somehow mistakenly changed and caused this

A bit of a long shot, but could it be related to headset losing tracking? To check if it's tracking-related, can you try ducking while looking above the horizon and looking downwards while standing on something to keep the headset higher than usual?

I have exactly the same issue, using vive Pro also. Launching from steam VR.

Specs: 8700k, GTX 1070, 32GB ram.

Usually play with wireless, tested with wired today and the issue persists.

I will try the tracking suggestion and check logs tomorrow.

Some observations:
The issue occurred occasionally for me after U8.1, and got significantly worse since U8.2 the game is sadly unplayable at the moment, as soon as I enter the character selection screen I am in this paused state.

Once I use the steam vr menu button to regain normal control I seem to re-enter this state within 30s or less, regardless of where I am in the game.

In U8.1 when I launched the game and the paused state did not immediately occur on the character select screen it would not be an issue in that session. I have not been able to start U8.2 without it occurring.

I have the same "Shader not supported" Error in my log.

Not been able to notice anything significant following the suggestions in this post.

The issue does seem quite random, today when I was trying to replicate the issue I managed to launch the game and play for 15 mins without any problems. After a restart I could only play for a few seconds before it happened again.

I was mindful of my headsets position and orientation relative to the light towers and could not identify any clear patterns, it would still occur looking in any direction and at any height I could reach.

I have not issues like this in other games.
