Blade and Sorcery lagging badly?!?

My PC runs with a i7 8700k and 1080 and I have had unbelievable lag occurring right as the game starts, but it's manageable. The horrible lag begins when I start the waves on enemies it literally freezes completely... not sure what to do but my pc is more than capable of running the game

Hmm is your render scale set to 1.0? Anything above is gonna tax your system like a mofo. Other than that, maybe you can diagnose the source of the performance hit by reducing graphic options. Decals (if settings are too high) and post processing can be big hits. Maybe try reduce them and see if it has any effect. Also, I'm sure you have already done this, but if not give it a good old system reboot just in case.

same problem iv'e done all this was running fine a while ago, and now my PC which should be able to handle this easily just freezes at times with insane constant lag.

No mods running, dillz? Have you tried a reinstall just in case it was some anomaly? Otherwise could it be things not up to date like drivers for graphics card, steamvr/oculus etc?

I'm having the same issue. I found that with all my vr games it runs 20x faster if i click on the steamvr icon and let it be. But if you do that in this game you will not be able to move your hands.
Is there going to be a future fix for the highlight?

I found out that it only occurs because in order to control your hands you need to click on the game. If you click on SteamVR it will run 10x smoother. If someone could send this suggestion to discord you would be doing me a huge favor. I have a new account so I have limited access

I'm currently asking a refund and waiting till the game is fixed. I still love this game but it's just not enjoyable.

My bottleneck is the cpu... it’s pretty high end but the models are holding FPS back

So apparently I’ve been screwing around with my computer and found that my 7820x 8-core was only running 4-core, half of my cpu. I went through msconfig, broke my computer and when I recovered it was capped at 1.2 ghz instead of 3.6. So now I had a third of my cpu. Dell support is going to replace my motherboard Thursday and hopefully I won’t have severe bottle. Best of luck

had the same issue do what I did. im not sure what one of these fixed it but it did so do all

1.delete and reinstall
2.set Nvidia (or graphics card) setting to make sure it runs on the high performance processor)
3. set ovrserver in task manager to high priority
4.set bladeandsorcery in task manager to high priority
(last two has to be done every time you launch game)

I haven’t deleted and installed, but I’ve tried literally everything on my Alienware Area 51. ...Except uninstall and reinstall. I’ll try that but I’m positive it’s bad cpu utilization. See I have a more uncommon 8 core 4.5 ghz cpu OC. One or two of my cores peak at 100 while the rest aren’t being anywhere used as much.

I cant find anything in game that turns down the graphics. Where do I go to do it? Just got the game and it looks really fun. But its almost unplayable

Same problem here, i get stuttering ever 1 or 2 seconds, and my controllers stutter aswell. this doesnt happen in any other vr games. my drivers are up to date and i have no mods or any other programs running in the background. ive reinstalled and verified game files, nothing works. i have a gtx 1080 and an i7 3790 and 16 gb ram.

Okay, ill start by describing the issue (though its the same as other posters on here) when i launch the game the 'loading circle' stutters and distorts, which is fine but my controllers also 'distort' in the same manner, and my vision also stutters every 1 second right on the dot, its not like it stops for a while then comes back its just constant. ive narrowed it down to a few things. 1, when i go back to older updates via the 'betas' tab, the stuttering every few seconds only occurs after 5.3... 2, no other vr game does this and my system is by far 'beefy' enough to run this game (ive been running it no issue for weeks before this happened. i have a i7 3790 and 16 gb ram and a gtx 1080) so it isnt a hardware/spec limitation. 3, when i go into the games 'slow mo' it all but stops the stuttering, i dont know why or how. 4, i have no mods or anything enabled, it started around the time i began modding but since then ive uninstalled and reinstalled, verified game files, deleted the b&s_data file and let it repopulate by launching the game, ive done everything short of reinstalling windows. (windows 8.1, btw) so i doubt its related to modding the game. (though im open to any ideas at this point.) 5, ive updated my nvidia drivers, ive unhooked my base stations and updated them and ive updated my controllers. Im running the game on VIVE and ive tried to play it in the steam vr beta and the latest release. im fresh out of ideas. its a shame too because this is by far my favorite vr game and its the one issue ive ever been genuinely stuck on for the longest amount of time. any help will be appreciated, thanks. (Edit please allow us to change between touch pad moving and pressing down to move if u havent already pls thx)
