Flickering and low fps

Hello, I just got my index today and this was the first game I wanted to play. when I load it the game has an fps of 10-15 (I have an i9 and 1080ti so probably not hardware limitations) and for some reason it keeps flickering between the actual game and the steamvr loading screen. Any ideas what is wrong? I'm new to vr so I don't know if this is a steamvr problem or what but all my other games run fine.

I've seen other players reporting something similar though I don't think anyone so far managed to find the cause of this. I would recommend checking the game log file for errors. It is located in c:\Users\<your username>\AppData\LocalLow\WarpFrog\BladeAndSorcery\Player.log. Check if there are errors in there or if the log itself is way too big(tens or even hundreds of megs). Look for log lines which say "exception" or "error", something along the lines of

    NullReferenceException
    at (wrapper managed-to-native) UnityEngine.Behaviour.set_enabled(UnityEngine.Behaviour,bool)
    at BS.Pointer.StopPointing () [0x00011] in <521c2edb534247b08de820fc54c208ab>:0
    at BS.Pointer.OnDisable () [0x0000d] in <521c2edb534247b08de820fc54c208ab>:0 

Don't necessary look for this specific one, just keep your eyes opened for log segments which look similar to the one above. It is especially suspicious if similar segments repeat themselves over and over again in the same log.

BTW, are you using any mods?
