Weirdly "locked" wrist positions on two handed swords
I'm having some gripes with the Longsword and Claymore when being held with both hands:
When tilting (rotating) the sword to the right (with the right hand being the upper one on the hilt) the right wrist will lock up when the blade is about parallel to the ground, preventing the left hand/wrist from every going higher than the right one.
The same isn't true if you rotate in the other direction, you can freely move your wrists until the blade pretty much points at the ground.
In effect, if you imagine a clockface in front of yourself, you can freely rotate from 6 o'clock across 0 and 12 all the way to 3 o'clock, but you're missing the whole quadrant between 3 and 6.

The result is that certain authentic techniques (like the Zwerchhau demonstrated well in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln94E9AGYTc&ab_channel=AntonKohutovi%C4%8D) are not possible or extremely awkward.

Not sure if there are any programming side restrictions that make this weird locking of the wrist neccessary (perhaps because doing this in real life requires loosening the fingers on the right hand slightly and the game keeps an iron grip all the time), but if not I'd greatly appreciate if the devs could rectify that at some point in the near future :D

Have you tried using the position two handed mode?

I'm not quite sure what you mean...
The problem I'm talking about is particular to holding the sword with both hands (in my case right hand top (near the guard) and left hand bottom (near the pommel).

He meant in the options book there are some options for two-handed weapons to change the behavior of how they function, such as dominant hand rotation. Have a check and mess around with the options and see if any of them solve the problem; I'm not sure if it addresses what you were saying, but let us know how it goes.

No, the options didn't seem to help in that regard.
I believe the problem is really that there's no way to release the grip of just the pinky and middle finger which is what you'd do in real life to be able to pull off the move.
And since I can't actually bend my wrist any further in that direction the game locks the blade at that angle.

Since current touch controllers don't allow for the neccessary accuracy in finger tracking, maybe you'd want to add an option that allows the wrists to rotate further based on relative position of the hands? :D

I may have noticed this but I find that some weapons do it when others do not. Are you using the vanilla weapons? Try the vanilla 2handers instead of modded weapons. They may act differently. For this reason , I can't use a lot of swords from modders and even some 2h lightsabers for that same reason. Otherwise , I think playing with the options setting may still work for what you're trying to do but you may have to get used to it being on a new setting. Not sure exactly which mode to suggest you to try but I'm assuming you gave most a decent shake so I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks.
I haven't modded the game at all so I'm only talking about vanilla weapons. Longsword and Claymore to be exact, as those would be most suited to use the technique I'm talking about.
I've played around with all settings I thought could possibly relate to this and none solved it, so I've given up on it for now.

Luckily, this isn't a huge thing of course. I just like to use this technique IRL and found I couldn't in this game, so I thought I'd bring it up :D
