How can I stop my pcvr lag mostly happens in blade an sorcery

I have an RTX 4070 TI a Intel(R) core(tm) i5-7400 cpu @ 3.00ghz 16gb ram 1tb storage really good wifi around 400 or 500 speed but I still lag please help me I also use virtual desktop and this mostly happens in blade an sorcery

I think that CPU is a bitttttt old, and will be your issue

npc physics are very intensive, you need cpu faster then 4.00ghz.

cpu and upgrade to 32gb, i find most vr games sit comfortably at 16-20gb usage it you have the capacity

if you have a quest 2 make sure you are running through oculus and not steamvr, for me that tanks perfomance.

I had that same cpu a while ago with a RTX 3060, and even with that ,the cpu IS the thing slowing you A LOT, like you gpu must be sleeping half the time since the cpu can't keep up at all

Yep definitely your CPU. I even noticed a huge difference after I got a 3080 and upgraded my CPU. It would stutter a lot when I had the slower CPU. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800x3D and noticed a huge bump in VR games and they all run great now on a Quest 3.

Understandable, lowering the render resolution through steam vr might help a bit but will surely destroy the quality quite a bit, or lower the effects/quality ingame directly

phew... haven't looked into cpu's in a longarse while, but i think that depends on which brand you want, intel or amd, and which generation, for amd AM4 or AM5... AM5 should honestly be ideal on AMD's side due to the future proofing and open ended socket gen allowing for upgrades down the line without having to swap the motherboard... like the ryzen 5 7600X3D would definitely be an excelent pairing that had some future proofing aswell, tho if you can afford it, i'd go with the ryzen 7 7800X3D especially paired with 32GB of DDR5 6000 (or higher) Mhz RAM... AM4 wise a ryzen 7 5800X3D and higher might work well too. I use the 5800X (non x3D) and am just about going to be cpu bottlenecked by the 4070Ti i think (according to bottleneck calculators)... AM4 would probably be a more affordable option tho, so if your budget is tight, AM4 would be my recommendation in terms of AMD...
Intel wise... not sure honestly. never really was a intel person, but my guess is the current and last gen I5 and I7 (I5 for current gen and I7 for last gen) might be a good pairing, but again, no idea if that is correct, since i haven't looked into Intel really at all...

If you want a cheap but very good upgrade go for a AM4 motherboard and a 5800X3D. No upgrade path but it'll last you YEARS anyway. AM4 Mobo's are cheap and the 5800X3D is also relatively cheap too.
