Shooting from a staff in 1.0 [Pico 4]

Hi.

How do I shoot fireballs from druidic staff in version 1.0? I forgot how to do it. I have crystal unlocked with 4 fire upgrades (ricochet, lava something, etc). I can charge staff with fire, can slam it into floor (it explodes), but I remember it was possible to shoot fire from it. Originally it shot where the staff was pointing, and later it was changed to shoot perpendicular to the staff.

If I remember correctly previously I needed to hold a button and move it, but waving it around while holding either of the A or B buttons seems to do nothing. Holding trigger makes hand slide.

What am I missing? I'm using Pico 4. Druidic staff is tier 1. I got 4/5 spellcasting ability.

But what do I press to activate the "flamethrower" mode? I played with the staff for a bit, and didn't see anything happen. Cleared the level by shooting fire from hands.

I dunno the button but the staff abilities are a upgrade available orbiting the last level of the crystal from what I know. Lightning is call Arcwire, for one, I believe gravity is called Gravity Hammer. I guess you should check if you have all of the fire abilities unlocked and read them all if not and see if you do have the flame thrower mode there.
And you don't need spellcasting ability, just the staff infused as much as it can take and then try pointing it at something and holding your buttons til one of them does it~ provided you have the flamethrower ability unlocked it should spew fire

When you've unlocked the skill and you've charged the staff you just press and hold "A" or "X" depending on which hand you hold the staff with.

I have the same HMD.

Ah. Got it. I only have first fire crystal, so it is not unlocked yet, that's why it does nothing. Thanks, guys.
