I tried equipping it on every different place on my body; my friend has the same issue with the same armor
#1 I noticed that from my experience I couldn't automatically overwrite the current piece of armor, meaning if you try placing a torso piece over a torso, you cant until you take the currently equipped one off
#2 Not sure which type, but one of the torso pieces, a t1 piece, appears to be a chestpiece, but is actually for the legs. If you do equip it you can easily see why it's actually leg armor, and you can infact place torso armor under it, but it is something to keep in mind, as what you are wearing may infact not be what you think it is.
#3 You have to be close, like, very close to the mirror, and you also need to equip near the edges of your body, if its a wrist piece, rather than trying to equip the armor piece by holding it inside your wrist, instead, touch the wrist piece of the edge of your wrist.
