Keeping weapons from outposts?
Loving the new update, but I must've missed a tutorial or something, I just did my first Outpost run, went in with 1 weapon, and got on the boat to leave the outpost with 4 weapons in my backpack slots and holding 2 more. When I got back home, all I had was the one weapon I left with, but it still saved every inventory item I had and the money I picked up. Did I do something wrong? If so, is there another way to take weapons from outposts?

Its because if you hover over the weapon when you have them in your backpack slots it shows that the items are stolen, meaning that you wont keep them

Came on here seeking the same question. That's rather disappointing that you don't get to keep weapons found in missions. I didn't even get to keep a Dagger I found in a crate.
I think the idea of progression is you steal loot, sell loot at the shop keeper and then buy more weapons and armour

Yeah but the weapons don't count as loot. You don't get the keep them, or get anything for finishing the level with them. (afaik) So, I imagine our character, at the end of the level, on his boat looking at his rusty knife, and the pretty T2 dagger he found in the outpost, yeeting it overboard saying "stealing...is bad."
Appears so, I was hoping we could steal/keep one weapon per outpost.
Yeah that was a major disappointment. Was hoping we could keep weapons we found in the dungeon. Was really disappointed when the first bow and quiver I found just disappeared along with my nicer Eraden Dagger. Even more disappointment when I go to the shop and no bow for sale. Find it later in the shop but it's over 200 to buy it. not counting quiver.

I really liked the idea of either buying a cool weapon or you get lucky in a dungeon run and find some nice weapons that you won't have to bother buying now. Nope. Apparently it's for balance but....just doesn't gel with me and feels bad. I'll just wait for a mod to come around that lets you keep weapons you pick up in the dungeons. I can't imagine it'll take that long.

I kinda felt the same way, it's a little jarring for outposts to just set you back (weapons-wise, of course you keep the items/money) to before you touched them. I guess I could see it messing with the economy? But stealing items as the main form of progression was super exciting, like how the Baron tells you, "don't do work that's already been done" why cant I take weapons that have already been bought?

How is it stolen? I murdered the owner, it's unowned, I took it and own it now due to it being ownerless. I am so confused on possession in this new land.
Genuinely upset that I couldn't keep the pickaxe from the first level.
I think it's better that you can't bring back weapons. The amount of things you can buy in the shop is already very limited, if you remove weapons, there isn't much left to buy.

I 100% agree with it, if nobody else owns it and i am holding it, i own it

There's still armor, and you can't pull 2 handed weapons off of enemies (because they cant have them), the store could also offer higher quality/tiered weapons than the stolen ones

There are bandits everywhere, but someone out there is willing to risk there life specifically to stop me from stealing a rock from the ground, while ignoring the hundreds of gold loot I stole.

but it does, every golem you kill the store levels up.
if you remove weapons, the store would be half empty.
