Blade & Sorcery

Blade & Sorcery

Is the game really CPU demanding?
I've got a 2080 super and an Amd ryzen 5 1400 but I can barely get 40 fps post clean install after one or two enemies spawn. I've noticed a lot of conflicting reports of performances from people with similar GPUs from me.

I'm not to good with this kind of stuff but since my CPU is in the low scale as far as ryzen 5 are concerned, would it be a good assumption to believe that this game is heavily CPU bound causing bottlenecks?

I can fight 8 enemies at a time with no problem, with a 2080ti/oc and i9 9900k, so might be the CPU or it might be some conflict between you hardware and the game, with out it being directly linked to the power of the system, some games just don't like some combomations of parts on the computer.

i have a i3 9th gen and it works fine even with mods make sure you are on the new update also could be ram mine was laggy at first when i only had 8 but now i have 12 and it runs fine

I am quite aware that my cpu is underpowered for my gpu thank you very much, I'm not that stupid. I was in the middle of upgrading when my 1060 died on me so I'm stuck on a very unbalanced build until I can save up to have all the parts.

It's mostly that the performance losses of this game are more intense than others, so I was wondering if it was a cpu heavy game (Arma 3 is the first thing I can think about) where in that case, people with bad CPUs like me are still gonna struggle and it's not a problem with optimization.

Lol why are y'all so hostile? Lotta people upgrade gpus before the rest of the system.

OP, yes this game uses a good amount of cpu, that is why you're having fps issues. I have a 980ti and rarely drop frames

I have 11 years old i7 2600K and 1060 GTX, no any performance issues unless there are like 10 enemies around. Didn't measured the fps, but i guess its well over 40.

a 2600k still outperforms OP's cpu for gaming. But if OP could find a used ryzen 1600 or even 1700 that'd be a good upgrade over the current one. IDK if the 2000 series cpus are compatable with the 1000 series mobos, but if they are, try for a r5 2600, big upgrade from your 1400

Yeah, I was aiming for a bigger upgrade to be more cost effective in the long run but i might have to go for that.

I agree with the above... bottle neck, you can't just buy a graphics card just because it's fast... that's like owning a caravan and someone saying a ferrari is extremely powerful, fast and great.. then expect it to tow a 4 birth caravan e.t.c wrong parts (wrong vehicle) is right in for disaster!

How much ram do you have??? how many sticks? what speeds?

Why are you such a ♥♥♥♥ to someone asking a simple question? Does it make you feel superior to spout off your technical knowledge to those that don't know as much as you do about the topic? The last question about the ram, are you going to attack him based on his answer there too? Unbelievable how you clowns act....

u have a point but to be fair that bottleneck is insane

I used to have an rtx 2070 paired with an i5 6400, go circle jerk to that bottleneck you weirdo.

Oh jesus, the bottlenecking :steamsad:

It's less bad now i upgraded to a 3600X and it's pretty stable

Awesome, glad to hear
