There is no mode for seated.

You can adjust your hight in game or use something loke ovr to adjust it.

But i would not recommend it, you need to fight, so its better if you stand, but it should work if you want to play seated

You can try it, if you play under 2H and dont own the game more then 1 week you can give it back, and then you get your money back.

The game boots up pretty quick i would say 2min max and then you can almost play 2H and if it does not work for you you can give it back

Or dont its up to you, now that i think about it climbing could be a problem when you dont stand

If you have OVR advanced settings, you could configure height offset and then play seated. Withuot OVR advanced settings if you play seated, your character will crouch and auto-height will turn your avatar into a hobbit. There's no built-in way to accomodate seated play. OVR advanced settings used to be free before, now it costs a few bucks.

If you have back problems, the game is fairly physically taxing. Basically, can you play pistol whip in a chair (with "unobstructed" modifier)? This is more tiring, though it mostly puts strain on your arms. It is not the most tiring game out there, though.

Playing for 2h and refunding if it doesn't work for you is a good idea.

The only bad thing about this is that you need to pay for ovr now

I just have my chair behind me to sit in during loadscreens and end of dungeon treks. I just have to jump frog like rather than walk because it does slow you down a lot.

If i'm playing seated i use Advanced OVR Toolkit or whatever its called to offset my height so while im seated I appear standing. Up side - lazy combat. Downside - its hard to get hip mounted weaponry like this and you're going to have issues reacting to opponents trying to flank you.

I get the issues with it tho. I myself have a weight issue and standing for long periods of time take a lot out of me. I usually just sit down between loading zones and when im not expecting to be in combat for a while. If I get exhausted in a dungeon, I typically clear that room or backtrack to a cleared room, and then just rest for a bit. Nothing is stopping you from just putting the headset down and coming back 2 hours later.
