Blade & Sorcery

Performance hasnt improved despite upgrading from a 1080 TI to a 4070 Super
Walking around out of combat, the game runs fine and looks okay, but when I begin combat with 2 or 3 enemies, everything just falls apart. When i swing a weapon, it doesnt move through the air smoothly, instead, it moves as if its in 30 fps and very choppy. Swinging weapo NPC's tend to do the same thing when theres 2 or more of them. The game just doesnt look as clean or performs as great when Im really getting into the fighting. MSAA is 8x, super sampling is 1.0, everything else is maxed and says Im getting 60 fps on the benchmark.

My headset is a Quest 2 linked with a cable but Ive enabled the 120hz option hoping to make the game run smoother but it doesnt. Im not sure if my expectations were too high when I upgraded my PC, or if everyone's Blade and Sorcery runs and looks the same as mine.

Im not running any mods, and this was all tested on the arena map. Im not really sure what kind of solution Im looking for, I just expected that with such a big upgrade to my PC, the game would look and feel much better

oh lord okay.
1, MSAA hasno noticeable difference, turn it off.

2, the game is CPU bound, not GPU, upgrading your GPU isnt often gonna make as big as a difference as CPU.

3, don't run the game at 120hz, of how physics works. Physics are a 1:1 refresh rate when on "low", and are at a 2:1 ratio when on high (meaning at 120hz, your physics are at 240, which shouldnt be done unless you've got a threadripper CPU)

4, I'd also give another link cable a try, make sure it's usb 3.0 connect to a usb 3.0 port in your pc

Hey, sorry I forgot to delete this post when I found the solution. I launched SteamVR but in Oculus VR mode and now Im getting constant 120 fps and it runs perfectly.
