It makes me very sick.
Even with short sessions of 10-15 minutes,i start to feel nauseous and motion sick. I've already tried to pass the first level 3 times, but it didn't work out. Although, each time I managed to go a little further than past try (although this was more likely due to the fact that I already knew where to go and what to do).

I use oculus quest 2 + standing play area.

Is this like this for everyone or am I doing something wrong?

Unless u have a actual inner ear condition YES, any sickness will pass, more you play, shorter the time.

Are you genuinely sick? Do you have the flu or something? One time while I was playing with the flu, I got a bit nauseous and needed to sit down. If that's not the case, try sitting down while playing. It may be very awkward to grab all your items, but there is auto height which'll make it a bit easier. Otherwise, you just need to get used to it and eventually it should stop coming.

Is it just this game you get motion sick form? If you are prone to motion sickness than VR in general is not a great idea.

What's helped me a lot was having a fan on me, directionally knowing where I'm standing in my place fixed a lot of my issues with motion sickness :)

That's actually really smart.

I played Half-Life: Alyx and Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter. Everything was good in these games.

But, these games mainly used teleportation for movement.

there are a plethora of settings to make it comfortable to play for long periods. 1 make sure you are upcaled enough in the steam vr settings.. blurry shizz sucks, second set your ipd correctly, and always try to config your game to stay at the top hrz for your headset spec. 90 is a floaty average for vr hmd's any less and you will barf. but the smoother the better as it is easier to close the gap between reality and vr for the eyes. really it depends on what hardware you are using. i could not ever play this on a quest or something.. i need ultimate graphics and butter smoothness. but there are also a bunch of turn options and turn spring and dampen settings in the options you should play with

I read about it before so I can't take credit, but it genuinely works!
