[Spoiler] Gravity Magic Tier 2 Airstrike Hard
Like the title says, (spoiler warning again in case you want to discover the tiers on your own) I recently unlocked the second tier of the gravity skill tree and purchased the Airstrike ability. Idk if I just can't pull it off, but it feels next to impossible to physically do. The example video makes it look like a piece a' cake but I'm having a hard time. Pointers?

If you're on Index, make sure you click in the trigger as well as closing your hand. It doesn't seem to count as a "Fist" unless you do.

Your mistake was not upgrading fire to tier 3 which I did right away, and incinerating everything in your way with literary 0 effort. Lmao I knew magic is going to be op af. That's why I only use the flamethrower of death if I'm struggling.
I am totally agree, it works, but hard to do and almost useless. To make it I should punch ground exactly before landing and in this case I get some damage by falling. But if I don't punch ground when falling from the same height, I will not get damage :/
Btw, imbued blunt weapons strike enemies to flight one of five tries. I don't really understand what I do wrong :(

Ive found it doesnt work as well on low tier weapons, you need to have it strongly charged and strike them hard and fairly sharp- With a 2 handed tier 3 mace ive been able to get 2-3 MASSIVE knockbacks and by the end it's drained of the imbue and you have to recharge it

Yeeeaaah I've personally found that lower tier weapons kinda suck when it comes to trying to get really big knockbacks. Try a higher tier weapon and you should totally see improvements :bbtcat:

Ah I see, I do use Index controllers even though I still have a VIVE HMD. I'll definitely give this a try, thanks! :er_heart:

It works! I've realized that it works even with tier 2 stuff!
Airstrike is a little weird to use I've found, especially for how much HP you lose to do it, however, I found if you use the flying kick (tier 2 body upgrade), you won't take fall damage, (not just off airstrike, you can flying kick off of anything with no fall damage). You can somewhat consistently jump, kick, then punch downwards to get the airstrike with no damage taken.
For me it only works when I push my fists really vertically downwards, and only when I use the grip and index finger trigger both to make the fist. I am on index vr headset and it took me a longer time to find out how to use the airstrike ability, but punching straight down to the ground does the trick for me most of the time.
Also you don´t have to wait till you are close to the ground before you punch down. You can be high up in the air, and the spell will make you speed down to the ground and you don´t even take any damage. I use it to land quickly from high heights, too.

Hope this helps. I was about to give up the ability before I managed to find out how it actually worked on index. I still don´t get the fancy animation around my hands, just a soundeffect.

EDIT:
Found out, that the direction/angle of the fists really matters. If I turn my fists in a way, that lets them face down or even a bit backwards, the ability even works if I do it infront of my body. Also this way it lets you pick a direction, in which you will crash down to the ground. This way I could really pick my targets on the ground while still floating high up and then crash down directly towards them. =)
