The best sword in the game is the Sword of Naa, tier 5 sword that you can only get at the end of the game, holds an Imbue for a long time, and acts as a staff aswell, its literally the blade of sorcery

Favourite weapon though is the Great Mace, thing does a TON of damage and can knock people down in one fell swoop

In my playthrough I'm doing a sort of mixed loadout. One starting weapon and stealing whatever I find to my fancy. One-handed swords/daggers are a common go-to weapon for me, especially when paired with a shield, but those daggers also give me those lovely intrusive thoughts of sneaky stabby lone personnel and stealing their stuff. Just close in and jam a knife in their brain, or prison shank them real quick for a while, and if the sword is too big then a slow throat slit is also good.

Before the update I was also big on the druid staves for gravity fun, but my current playthrough has me doing away with most magic in favor of the Mind crystals, so those staves tend to be already used up. I do however get to enjoy the occasional two-hand ax or pick ax for choppy choppy, just bought a two-handed war maul for a drubbing, but I've found good value in taking a decent shield and using a spear for overhead downward jabbing like a scorpion to get those heads.

One-handed hammers and hatchets haven't been getting a lot of use from me outside of very niche situations like there being nothing else available, unlike a knife or dagger that can secure a very sneaky stealth kill.

Two-handed swords are also fun, good reach for thrust attacks when paired with a shield or for two-handed duels for more power.

Tried bows and arrows but I cannot for the life of me use them reliably, I have no natural depth perception and so cannot reliably measure distances or judge angles no matter how much practice I put in, so without a guiding arc showing where the arrow will go I pretty much don't bother with any archery or most throwing weapons. Even using telekenetic throws is iffy at best.

Sometimes, once in a blue moon, I'll just grab onto a bandit with both arms and start kicking them just so I can make them topple over and throw them around, or take their head and bash it against a wall, or kick them over a ledge, or grab their ankies and pull them over a ledge, or throw their dead bodies at someone else.

And then there's the MODS...
ive been using like only daggers, when they got the throwing daggers around i got two and use them on my back slots, with the lightning tracking perk, im basically a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ madcat from mechwarrior

I use almost everything (even fists), for now I mainly use the final secret sword and a hammer (t4 iirc)
