Suddenly Max FPS of just 30?
i never had it this bad in B&S, it usually is always on my prefered 90 fps but as of a few weeks ago the max FPS this game can give me is 30, idk why, nothing changed besides replacing my quest 1 with a valve index, all other games work fine, played with the graphic settings too, no matter how much lower i make my settings it stays on 30 fps at max

anyone know a fix?

i also just switched to the index, you have to go into steam vr settings and set refresh rate 90hz

Wdym by that?

Had a go at again an hour ago and kind of weird thing, my desktop monitor/steam fos counter was between 50-90 fps but the ingame graphics menu gave me 40 fps after constant after I verified the game files

And like said it worked previously and all other games work fine so unless B&S suddenly got a hardware requirement increase idk why my FPS is just dead

like in SteamVR, im not sure.. *where* theres an option to manually change resolution of the headset in steamVR, best to make sure its not at like 500% (I've had a few people recently have similar problems and that was the cause)

Intel I5-8500 6x3ghz
16gb ddr4 ram
2x AMD RX 580 8gb vram
Windows 10
And using a valve index

It’s on 140-150% for better clarity when having my index on

Did enable super sampling/scaling ingame too but none of the options of that made any changes on my FPS count

They're using two RX 580's in unison, RX 580 is equivalent to a 1060 so two of them should probably be able to do VR, not like super great, but still possible.

The super sampling option seems to make my FPS tank to like 2 fps, so try turning it down

I tried everything I could on my end, 40 fps is the maximum the game settings show, I lowered all the settings and physics to the lowest point, disabled/deleted all mods, did a clean reinstall, verifying the game files, etc.

The only thing that did something was verifying the game files which increased my max fps from 30 to 40

And that’s all, nothing else I can do on my end at all, it’s either an incompatibility with something or some of the games code seeing as this wasn’t a problem before

The only thing in my setup that was changed is switching my quest 1 to a valve index

So unless the index has compatibility issues I am out of ideas

There is Nothing else I can do on my end
