You don't want to change the game version, you find the right mods for the current version.
Once they roll out version 12, the modders will likely scramble to make updates, depending on how well supported the game is. Skyrim mods update usually a day or two after the game updates.
So far as I know, version 11 mods work with the current version unless there is a problem with the mod or you have two mods that conflict.

If the logo is somehow hidden, but it shouldnt be, you can enable/disable it on the desktop mirror with one of the F keys - I always forget which, but should be F5, F6 or F7, etc.
