GPU time last frame is on 11000 ms
Help, the game is unplayable at a constant 20-30 fps on a high end PC, I have no idea what to do.

I've got a Ryzen 3700x
5700 XT
32GB RAM

I deleted all my characters
I've got updated Graphics Drivers
I have no extra apps opened
I have the absolute lowest settings with no shadows, Anti aliasing, worst physics EVERYTHING

This is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I just want to play the game at more than 30 FPS

two things
1, steamVR doesnt capture GPU Last Frame Properly, so that number is more than likely way off compared to what it actually is.

2, heres a list of things to try

Set Physics to Low

Set Persistent bodies to 1

Turn MSAA off

(if you are still needing more) Set render sale to 0.75

Other things that can impact performance

Mods - depending on the mod, it may add a lot of resource strain if it spawns lots of things or has a lot of effects. Megamods like TOR are recommended to be used solo.

Using a Quest Link cable / Airlink can impact performance. When one of these two methods causes issues, people have reported trying the alternative tends to work out for them. For example, I can't play Airlink but the Link cable works fine.

Headset Refresh rate set too high - 120fps is too high for B&S. You will get a much better play with the headset set to 90fps.

Supersampling set too high in Steam - you shouldn't mess with SS in Steam unless you are positive you know what you are doing. Setting this over 100 can mega impact performance.

Screen capture software can hog your system resources (like OBS).

Thermal throttling - this is really a thing! Everyone who experiences this thinks it won't happen to them. Sometimes the solution is as easy as dusting out your PC, other times the solution was adding a new fan to the PC.

Applications running in the background, eg Wallpaper Engine, FPS recorders, frame rate boosters, antivirus, etc.

You may have Asynchronous Timewarp turned on with your Oculus device. This kicks in if your headset cannot maintain a stable frame rate (the case with most VR games) and makes your frame rate half so that the user gets a stable (albeit lower) frame rate rather than a fluctuating one. So half the frame rate for Oculus would be 45fps. If your frame rate is 45fps and you use an Oculus headset, it's almost certainly this. You can disable it in the headset options somewhere.

If you are still having issues, see if you can cap your FPS Frame Rate at 90 or lower, if youre using, lets say an index, or a Quest 2, with 120 fps, the game cannot run at that high, and will inreturn make your fps significantly worse than if youre just running a max of 90fps
