I just launch through Steam VR and have no issues.
I have a Quest 2, using a basic wired link connection. When I launch the game, I pick Oculus mode. Launching in SteamVR mode leads to noticeably worse performance. I am wondering if Virtual Desktop messes with the setup at all, and which mode would be better if both are available.
I would suggest at least trying it in wired link mode, just to start troubleshooting and figure out if it's the game freaking out, or an error being introduced somewhere along the line in pushing it to VD.
I'll keep digging but thanks guys.
how do I run B&S in occulus mode when using Virtual Desktop? is i tpossible? ta!
Thanks man, I'll take a look later.
Aslo recommend this mod for boosting frame rates https://github.com/fholger/vrperfkit
Bro, all you need to do is launch Steam VR without VD running, then click on Blade and Sorcery. VD is more than likely what is causing the issue. I use a Quest 2 on wireless mode also, mostly because a wired connection for me just doesn't work.
Tell me you're ignorant without telling me.
Quest 2 is great, OP just doesn't know how to launch the game without running bloatware in the background dragging his PC down.
