How do I open the backpack?

I was going a little too fast and was holding onto the zipline when the tutorial on backpacks and ziplines showed up, but since I was holding the grips and trigger to hold onto the rope, it skipped the tutorial.

put your hand really close to your chest and use the spell button. tilt your controller to orient the cursor and use the grip button to select. make sure you hold the button when you grab something or you may immediately put it back in your inventory.
