Crouching with HTC Vive controllers
How on earth do you crouch with the htc vive controllers. the tutorial says use the right thumbstick but the vive controllers dont have thumbsticks so how do you crouch?

I haven't played with wands in a while, but i'm certain you use the left track pad to do so by hold your thumb in the middle then move your thumb down to the bottom of the trackpad.
Wand support is very lacking in this game despite this game coming out in 2018 when there was only oculus touch, wmr and vive wands so i wouldn't be surprised if that didn't work.
hell, you can't even access the menu book with wands

You can access the menu book with the wands actually. You have to first push the middle of the trackpad of the right wand and then, with that held down, you then push the button above the trackpad on the left controller.

Crouching doesn't seem to work though, or it is doubled with another command. The game tells you to push down on the right trackpad but on my HTC Vive Cosmos Elite wand that just causes my guy to kick one of his feet in front of him. The other wand controls movement so down on the left trackpad doesn't cause you to crouch either, it just causes you to walk backwards.

What awful bindings the wands have due to limitations. I’m glad I don’t have the use them anymore especially because not many developers even are aware they’re around or care about them

What do you mean you don't have to use them anymore? Have you changed your entire VR system or are certain VR headsets compatible with other controllers. I use the wands but only because that is what the HTC Vive Cosmos Elite came with. Can I use different controllers with them?

I upgraded to the Valve Index Knuckles as they compatible with any Valve/HTC headset. I recommend them despite their price tag, they make VR actually ya'know, bearable to play for longer periods of time.
Just as long as you have a SteamVR dongle or SteamVR VR headset with any basestation, you can use the knuckles.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely be picking up a pair of knuckles.

Lol i have the "regular" vive controllers, dunno bout you, but I've ran down my controllers playing my VR game, thats roughly 6-7 h continuous play.

I was able to play games for hours on end with the Vive wands depending on what game it was. If the game was something like BONEWORKS or Blade & Sorcery, then I would probably get off after an hour or less because especially on BONEWORKS, using vive wands to climb or holding an object with no toggle grip and having to swing your controller around is not fun and rather painful solely because of the grip buttons.

It's like anything, it takes time to build muscle and resistance, I cant relate to the trouble you had with the Vive controllers, except for the first few weeks i had them.

True. I got used them after a while whenI got my Vive second hand a few months ago, but it will never change that no matter how long you use them for, the grip buttons will start to feel painful to hold onto everytime you try hold them for a long period of time. There is one good thing about the wands though and that’s they are sure great for FPS VR games like Pavlov with the tactile triggers and how the controllers weight and length make you feel as you’re holding a real weapon making it immersive. My index knuckles can achieve the same feeling, but for controllers you can get for dirt cheap second hand, they’re good if you’re only playing FPS and social games.

I think, it's very much individualised, some people will experience what you have, others wont have. I suspect the only way to find out is play. On the subject of guns, I'm pretty dam hawt shooting em, can hit a null body repeatedly at 200-300 ft.

The hover junkers sandbox is massive, i've shot a pistol, from the far right, to the far left, pretty pointless actually, since that's well outside a pistols "range"
