Right now, I'm considering building a small "sword" about 800g in weight, with balance 14cm from the grip.
Basically trying to build something like this, but with room for the controller, the hardest part will be to create some way of attaching the controller securely.

I suspect they'd be more comfortable than ankle weights, since they have to be pretty tight to keep them from slipping around on your wrist.

They are fingerless gloves, so they don't get in the way at all. Ankle weights work just as well
The gloves would stay in place (thanks, fingers!), and push the weight more forward. It wouldn't be as realistic as something like what Gunfreak is building, but more realistic than the ankle weights, I think.
