Weighted gloves!
I put on some training gloves (each is around 1 kilogram of weight) for adding a little training effect. Realized that it actually really helped with weapon handling and fighting in general. I guess it's not only forcing you to move more appropriately as a player (wielding longswords and the like) but also seems to have an effect on your actual brain-muscle connection, so you'll act automatically like you're holding a heavy object.

Has anyone ever tried this before? Would love to hear what you think

I'm looking at various options.
Right now, I'm considering building a small "sword" about 800g in weight, with balance 14cm from the grip.

Basically trying to build something like this, but with room for the controller, the hardest part will be to create some way of attaching the controller securely.

I do 5lb ankle weights, and totally agree. I stayed away from the glove idea since I figured they would get in the way of me gripping the controllers and hitting buttons on them. Have you found that to be a problem?

I suspect they'd be more comfortable than ankle weights, since they have to be pretty tight to keep them from slipping around on your wrist.

They are fingerless gloves, so they don't get in the way at all. Ankle weights work just as well
I actually like the glove idea more than the ankle weights now that I know they're fingerless. The ankle weights add weight to your arm, but it's not in an area as stressful on your wrist as it should be - while my arm may be 5 lb heavier, my hand is still just holding up an ounce or two and can still do quick flicks that should be impossible (at least with my strength level).

The gloves would stay in place (thanks, fingers!), and push the weight more forward. It wouldn't be as realistic as something like what Gunfreak is building, but more realistic than the ankle weights, I think.
