Creating a custom wave.

How would a non modder go about creating a custom wave with certain enemy types? Like changing what enemies spawn: such as how many archers, how many mages, etc? For example say I want to create a wave where I fight one archer and one shield-man with a max of two per wave and a total of 16. What would I change in the waves folder to do that, I know where the stuff is to change, just not what to change.

Be careful what wave you change, as it's hard to go back. I also believe the mod approach would be easier (You aren't obligated to publish it), as you're not deleting part of the game's pre-built, internal waves. However, I'd be happy to show you. I can add you and talk on Discord.
