But Gorn has been in development for 2 years and B&S only 2 months, so Gorn has way more content right now because that game is closer to completion. If the Early Access journey bothers you (such as getting piecemeal content in updates) then my advice is to wait. It's just a combat sandbox right now with 3 maps. If EA doesnt bother you and you hate wiggle sword games, then B&S.
Right now, all the content in the world doesnt mean anything if it doesnt run stable enough to play it.
B&S all the way!
However I definitely think this game is worth getting and definitely has huge potential given a year or two. If you prefer more realistic and in deph combat mechanics, then go with B&S. If you prefer dumb fun, and DOOM style non-stop action, go with Gorn.
And both are simple arena games still.
That's true. But some day B&S will be a dungeon crawler (planned in the roadmap). However it is a long way away so I wouldn't recommend anyone get the game right now if that is the only thing they like about it.
I'm just waiting on a fully realized VR rpg or action game to come out
