New vs old daggers
Heyas, Is it just me or do the new daggers (while detailed looking) seem to fall a bit flat vs the old ones? They look good, but they seem weaker or just nerfed compared to the old ones.
I would be all for to just having both of them tbh.

Like tiers of weapons, in prep for that campaign or leveling and dungeoneering that they plan to do.

Your thoughts?

U7 introduced the groundwork for tiered weapons in B&S. With U7 standard weapons being mostly lowest tier, it's no surprise they are inferior to pre-U7 weapons. And don't worry, other daggers of higher tiers will be added in future updates.

despite being worse, somehow i like the feel of the new dagger.

but yes, there will be like 4 tiers of dagger eventually.

if you've seen the pictures, be glad kospy at least didnt leave us with only the lowest tier, that thing is basically just a rusty shiv lol.

I just can't imagine what kind of sick ♥♥♥♥ top tier claymore would be. I mean it's a i-dont-give-a-♥♥♥♥-about-your-block-shield-armor-one-hit-kill right now already

From what I've seen, tiers will be not so much about damage but rather about weapons with more advanced features. Here's an official example of how daggers of different tiers[i.redd.it] may look like. A lot of advantages of high tier weapons will be in providing players with more options to use the weapon. Longer blades, lower weight, better handling, larger grip, wider crossguard, extra grab point on the blade. All that may not affect the numerical damage values but provide a night-and-nay difference in handling and usability, compared to low-tier weapons.

OMG Yes!!! I fully support that decision.
Finally a realistic way to show off a better weapon <3

I'm so tired of seeing a warcraft style of tiers that look more and more fancy and magical yet look and feel clunky and not at all wieldable. Material for a weapon is one thing, but actual design and usability means so much more. Any old pointy end can stab & kill someone. Hell, look at a broken bottle or a sharp rock. Steel just holds the edge better and wont break as easily.

Now i'm hyped again :p Thanks Siilk :)

Now here's to hoping that at some point we get to blacksmith our own weapon designs :p
Or at least create the individual parts, that would be sweet.

That made me think of weapons being able to break.. Which would be pretty awesome.
Imagine an enemy holding his guard with a spear. Now, you take a mighty swing with a 2 handed axe. That wooden shaft.. Just turned to crap.
On the plus-side. Now the enemy has two weapons.. :D

Obviously, i wouldn't want any breaking like in Dead island&Dying light, where you basically repair your steel sword every 10 hits.
A steel weapon would be much more prone to bending than actually breaking. And bending.. Isn't the easiest thing to do either if you're handling the weapon right.
