If your looking for a workout.. Suggestion.
For great cardio and an arm workout, try using 2x2kg wristbands while playing. (Start with 2x1kg if your not used to weights) Then play on endless melee. Do this for an hour each day. I was doing this on Beat Saber as well before I realized that I can get an even tougher workout with B&S. Combine with a low carb diet. The extra weight also feels good, kinda like your actually holding weapons. It's awesome.

Haha, great idea :)

My god, even an hour solid with no wristbands would make me sweat :steamhappy:

Related question: what do you guys do against fogged up VR-lenses and sweat running into the headset? My only strategy is taking off the headset every 2 minutes to whipe the lenses and wearing a Bandana. Is there a better way?

I use a floor model fan and point it towards the play area. Does help that I have a air con as well. This is coming from a dude that sweats a gallon by just looking at the stove.

As for the wrist weights.. It seems to be a pretty good idea as long as you warm yourself up to it and not risk straining yourself.

You could do a ten minute warmup first and start with 2 X 1Kg wrist weights and work up to 2 X 2Kg wrist weights. I went straight to 2 X 2Kg and I was fine but I was using them with Beat Saber for about 3 weeks prior before moving on to try them with B&S.

Dude.... What if we are talking about the future of fitness here.... Just imagine more space, more haptic feedback tech, more force feedback tech, more locomotion tech, with weights.... In a gym... I sure as hell would drop a Benjamin every month for that.

I wonder if the VR industry will start spawning some interior sweat-proofed headsets at some point in the near future. Sure would hope so. Had a headset brake from sweat damage at my arcade just yesterday.

Yeah, I have a feeling my CV1 might end up dying for exact same reason during one of the summer heatwaves.

Damn, I've got to check that out.
When you say wrist bands, do you mean resistance bands?

I've actually done this with a client who was super into HEMA and wanted the experience of fighting someone with a sword outside of his hangouts.

For reference (We need a video on this Baron, make it so!) get two resistance bands, thread both behind you or underneath you, around something extremely study (door handle works) and face the other other way.

After a while, you'll find yourself struggling to keep your hands at chest height. Quite a good resistance exercise routine if I say so myself! ;)

I mean wrist/ankle wrap around weights. Because you move around a bit I've just ordered 2 more for my ankles. That's 8kg all up! Can't wait. I can really feel the arm burn already when just playing with the wrist weights.

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, that's a good idea. For added immersion, don't equalise the weights. Have one 4-6 kilo's on one, and 6-8 on the other.

My valve index absorbs all the sweat into a gasket which is only a $30 replacement. It works quite well for me.
