Soundpad

Soundpad

Missing MF.dll
When i installed it tried to start it up. i got this series of errors:
"The code execution cannot proceed because MF.dll was not found."
"The code execution cannot proceed because MFPlat.dll was not found."
"The code execution cannot proceed because MFReadWrite.dll was not found."
"The code execution cannot proceed because evr.dll was not found."

I googled for some answers and it gave me some options
First reinstalled the app five times without result.
i installed the Media Feature pack (didnt work)
Downloaded the .dll files and put them in the Soundpad map.
After that i tried to start up again. anbd got these errors:
"The procedure entry point MFCreateTranscodeTopology could not be located in the dynamic link library"
"The procedure entry point MFJoinIoPort could not be located in the dynamic link library"

I also tried register the dll files using REGSVR32.EXE in WINNT\SYSTEM32
That didnt work either.

After that i tried reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ And that didnt work also.

im now out of ideas.

Anyone else got anymore ideas?

You need to install the Media Feature Pack of Microsoft to get that fixed.

Well, you probably installed the wrong Media Feature Pack version or the installation wasn't successful. In your system directory (by default C:\Windows\System32) there must be the file mf.dll along with some other files like mfplat.dll. In your first post you mention, that you get errors, because these file are missing. If you are using a regular Windows version, then these files are already part of Windows. If you use a Windows N version, then you have to manually install the Media Feature Pack for your version and build of Windows, so these files get installed. Apparently it isn't the case.
There's no need to do anything with regsvr or vc_redist.

If you are using Windows 10 N November 2019 or newer, then this guide shows how to acquire the correct Media Feature Pack:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4516397/media-feature-pack-for-windows-10-n-november-2019

If you are using an older Windows 10 N version, then first get your build number by pressing Win + R > winver
Then download the correct pack from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack

Downloads for Win 7 or 8: Search the web for: "Media Feature Pack Windows 8.1 N" or "Media Feature Pack Windows 7 N"
