how can i put a mp3 vid on my soundpad?

so as a newbie using soundpad is so confusing! when i first try putting a mp3 it says "file format is not supported" and I've tried finding sources to not make it a mp3 file. Also which websites can i download YouTube videos and clips from. cause i don't want any viruses. and yeah soundpad is so new to me lmao

MP3 is an audio format. If you say you download videos from video sites, they mostly come in mp4 format, which is indeed a video file format.

If you need to extract audio from an mp4 file and save it as wav, ogg, mp3 whatsoever you may want to google for "Audio extraction mp4 mp3" and/or give Avidemux a try which allows you to save audio streams from a video file into various formats. Be sure to check the online community on how to efficiently work with Avidemux
