In SoundPad go to Files > Preferences > Hotkeys > Advanced options and click the check for (Same hotkeys in all categories)
And this plays what sound you want in what category you are in
I think it's bugged now.
I use the Numpad, with only the number keys. Also, I have categories with different sizes. Could this be the problem?
The option “Same hotkeys in all categories” is checkmarked. But when I try to set the same hotkey in another category, it says “Hotkey is already in use. Overwrite?”
I have noticed that the hotkeys are the same in all categories because of the index order.
An example of what I'm struggling to do. Category 1 has 9 sounds, and Category 2 has 6 sounds. I want the hotkey 8 to be at index 9 of Category 1 and index 6 of Category 2.
